How to Sell
Why Steven & Eduardo are replacing gimbal video with Rendy
Rendy Spotlight: Steven & Eduardo
Elite Media started as a side hustle in Glasgow, Scotland 2.5 years ago — today they’re doing 200+ shoots/month with a 7-person team. Instead of offering Rendy as an add-on or separate service, they're replacing their gimbal video entirely with Rendy…

“The videos are created from HDR photos, and the quality is night and day compared to a camera on a gimbal… It’s a cost saving. Photographers don’t have to spend an extra 30 minutes on-site taking social media videos.” One of their clients’ first Rendy posts hit 50k views, picked up 40 followers, and brought in 3 real inquiries — which had never happened for them before. Elite Media just upgraded to the 100 Listings/month tier and are already exploring enterprise options. See my full convo with Steven below 🙂
Our full conversation with Steven & Eduardo
Q: Tell us about your background — how many shoots do you handle and what does your team look like?
We started Elite Media two and a half years ago as a side hustle. I came from a wedding photography background, and Eduardo had a real estate business in Mexico. We came together with the idea of starting a real estate photography business on the side. It picked up very quickly — in January 2024 we did three shoots for the whole month and were absolutely delighted. Fast forward to September of last year, we broke a record with 202 shoots for the month, with a team of seven photographers.
Q: How do you add Rendy — is it an upsell or built in? How do you position it?
We're not upselling it or trying to position it into a package. We're just implementing it from the get-go and not even telling clients that's what it is — we're just doing it. Anyone new coming on is just going to get the Rendy videos. We're using it as the package and using the quality as the selling point. The videos are created from HDR photos, and the quality is night and day compared to a camera on a gimbal. Clients notice that, and getting six social media videos is a really good selling point in itself.
Q: What results have you seen — any impact on revenue, client reactions, biggest win?
It's been very well received. Our biggest client moved from the old style videos to Rendy videos and absolutely loves it — they're seeing properties sell faster, which is a huge tangible result. It's also a cost saving: photographers don't have to spend an extra 30 minutes on-site taking social media videos, so they can do more shoots in a day. It doesn't have to go through our editing department either, so there's a saving there too. One client's first Rendy post hit 50,000 views, gained 40 new followers, and generated three genuine inquiries to view the property through social media — which had never happened for them before. They've now asked for a specific package where we always supply the Rendy social media videos.
Q: What advice would you give to someone who isn’t using Rendy yet? How should they start?
Start today. Do it now. Being at the forefront of this technology and offering something different is a very powerful strategy, especially when trying to win a new client. If you can offer something that's slightly different, exciting, and has proven results, the clients will notice. The shorter-form videos are punchy, engaging, cut to the beat — they're designed to work with the social media algorithm, and the results follow. I can't speak highly enough of the service and the quality.
